Helena Humann is best remembered for her debut role, the promiscuous Jimmy Sue in Peter Bogdanovich's The Last Picture Show (1971). She did not appear in another film until 1981. Her other well-known film role was that of Mother Superior in Problem Child (1990). Humann worked more frequently on television. On the popular miniseries Lonesome Dove (1989), she played Peach.
